the negative, possibly a 5 star in its day but not now.the lifts not appropriate for size of hotel, the pool needs attention, the room furnishings dated, the lagoon bar, poolside, a wate of space as virtually unused during day as not part of all inclusive, main lobby bar closed during the day,no nightime entertainment either organised or at all, long queues at times due to overworked staff, drinks not 5 star standard, mealtimes an unruly scrum at times with ignorant guests in abundance, food unimaginative.the plus side, great sea views,an army of cleaners did there best, staff in general good, food ok,edible enough, but as mentioned not very imaginative, pool design excellent but needing refurbished, although kept very clean.the size of a hotel should not be a factor in its rating.this hotel is 3 star at best
Top Tip: close to rhodes town

The all inclusive deal at the Capsis Hotel is amazing. There are a few minor issues with the hotel. The elevators are a bit slow and unpredictable, button lights are permanently on or don’t come on at all. Some don’t go to the eighth floor. This was reported to reception but was there for over a week and nothing was done.
Very noisy at night with wedding receptions with music playing into the small hours of the morning there are a couple of main pools on both sides of the hotel one evening we had a wedding reception around one pool and a gala dinner with very loud techo music around the other. I am not one to restrict the income of a nice hotel but maybe a restriction to the times these finish to midnight rather than 2am plus.

The rooms of the hotel are a little tired and in need of renovation. The doors have still have a physical key and no internal lock and no security safe in the room. Although separate safety deposit boxes were supplied at an exorbitant cost €18 Euros as was the Wi-Fi internet connection at €20 for 24hrs. There are some computers in the huge lobby available to use at €1 per 12 minutes. TV was a joke. 5-6 channels most of them Greek, the only English speaking channel was BBC world news. With satellite TV nowadays there is no excuse to have such poor service. I think they are also missing a trick by not having a pay TV service where you can watch a film if you want to. Not very close to any facilities either.

The positive points were also numerous. The food variation is probably the best I’ve seen at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The endless supplies of food and drink are amazing. The sea is just across the road. They even have a tunnel/underpass to prevent you crossing the road. Although dated the hotel is very clean and the staff do a great job at keeping it so.

There is a bar in the main lobby. I have never seen bar staff work as hard with the endless supply of all inclusive drinks. I have seen the bar staff take several different orders from several different people and serve them all at once. I’d say the hardest workers in the hotel Amazing. There are a further two bars There is an ‘Animation Crew’ which put on events and try to keep the guests entertained. Not my scene but if you want to get involved there is that option.
Top Tip: There is a bar called Surf Bar. If you turn right out of the hotel it is about 5 mins walk on the right. Every Wednesday and Friday at 9pm they have a fantastic Rock Band called The Time Machine. They were very professional and could sing and play most songs requested.

nice location easy access to beach and just a 5 minute bus ride into rhodes town, hotel definitely not 5 star more like a bad 4 star, lifts where unpredictable to say the least ,food was ok but luke warm and abit repetative, pools ok but water bleaches all your swimwear and they have been painted blue which comes off all over you if you touch or brush against the sides, had blue feet for most of the two weeks we were there, grounds and pool areas could have been cleaned alot better,no easy access for anyone with a disability, decent enough hotel i suppose for the money we paid
Top Tip: definitely visit rhodes old town ,its really amazing,

This is a large hotel with a huge lobby entrance. 5 lifts and a nice lobby bar. We enjoyed our weeks stay here in beautiful landscaped gardens and pools and a couple of bars to chose from. Room was cleaned every day and had a great view over the beach/sea. The only downside was at meal times the restaurant was so busy. Finding a seat was even a problem but if you timed it right( go early or towards the end) a great buffet lunch/dinner was great. Loads to choose from and the food was replenished every 15/20 mins. Overall a great hotel and I would go back to stay there again but it is not an English 5star more of a 3/4 star but don't let this put you off it's a lovely hotel!!!
Top Tip: 15mins from airport(15euro eachway).next to the beach.restaurants and bars all nearby.
