Stayed from Oct 5th,had a lovely time there. Staff are lovely and polite. Rooms cleaned everyday. Great breakfast each morning, lots of variety. Very relaxed and romantic atmosphere. Would recommend it as a great place to stay, right on th e beach. Only thing is that there should be more activities, like gym or Greek nightI was looking forward to , but was cancelled from early Oct, even though the hotel was full enough!
Top Tip: Tasos Restaurant nearby was great, tasty food, great prices.

I think the Poesiden Hotel has everything. Firstly it is a lovely looking hotel. When you arrive you know your going to have a lovely time. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a room looking out onto a pretty garden. Poolside was spot on. Lots of activity, but not noisy. Nice bar, and meals and snacks throughout the day, where good value as we stayed for bed and breakfast only. Hotel right on the beach. Many places to eat out. Five minutes walk to see the turtles in the morning. Would diff entry go back to this hotel, as it was great value for money.
Top Tip: Yes the Toad in the hole bar, friendly staff, can't do enough. Great food, happy hour drinks, free wifi.
Five minutes to see the turtles. Went to,Cameo island for a friends wedding, beautiful.

We have just returned from a 7 night HB stay.
The average age here when we stayed was 60ish. Although it is near to the end of the season it is worth noting that this hotel is located a fair walk from the noise of the main strip which is frequented by the younger set who would want to be closer to the action.
The hotel was clean and the public areas especially the gardens were very well kept so is a credit to the cleaning and ground staff.
The hotel is keen on extra charges 20euro safe, 28 euro A/C 20 euro to keep your room an extra few hours on departure, it reminded us of Carry on Camping and the character they called "Fiddler" although he only charged £1.00 for everything!!
We had an issue with no hot water which was reported but despite several complaints took 3 days to fix with no alternative offered. This was very poor as you do not go on holiday to take cold showers.
We were booked on a half board basis. Breakfast was ok with a reasonable choice of cold produce but the hot option was not to our taste hard long overcooked fried eggs with small frankfurter style sausage and bacon that resembled fried ham. A bit of a free for all to get a table and we had to eat in the lobby on one occasion as no table was available.
The evening meal was a big let down although it is fair to say we enjoy good food so are maybe critical where some people may feel this is acceptable. Salad was always available but sometimes when you got to the meat selection it maybe Pork Roll in Gravy etc which is not nice with salad although overcooked Brussels were offered on one occasion. Although we had already paid for it we only ate here on the first two nights as it would have spoiled our holiday.
There are several good quality restaurants within easy walking distance serving a good selection of food the Drift Wood, Tasos both excellent for lunch and Avanti was especially nice for an evening Greek style meal.
Top Tip: Get a room with a sea view, don't eat here except breakfast.
Driftwood bar is on the beach next to hotel nice for lunch Happy Hour 5-7pm
Toad in the hole opposite hotel excellent Mojitos Happy hour 5-6pm
Nemesis supermarket opposite hotel well stocked.
Took bus to Zante town and harbour very nice and only 1.6e on bus
Did the turtle trip which was a nice way to spend a few hours on a boat, prices vary as many agents but all "My Tours" agents use the same coach to pick up and same boat.

+ Friendly staff, good selection and quality of food, clean room
- Charging for sun loungers is a bit cheeky, poor selection of TV channels
Top Tip: Avoid the shop opposite the hotel entrance, VERY expensive. Much cheaper alternatives are only a couple of minutes' walk away.

Hotel as a whole was excellent, friendly and helpfull staff.
Breakfast food was good, evening meals only had a limited choice although there was usually
something to select.
Main critisism was having to pay for sunbeds on the grassy area and directly in front of hotel on the beach, i think if you are stopping at hotel these should be free as there are not enough sunbeds
around the pool to accomodate everyone..
Top Tip: excellent restaurant 2 minute walk called the steakhouse, very good value and excellent service.
