this is a delightful hotel well placed in the centre of Florence. Extremely clean and very much cared for. The staff were always ready to assist with any problems without being intrusive. Excellent food, though sometime rather pricey.
Just a tad to hot and when windows open rather noisy from the busy lane below.
I would certainly return - March a good time.
Top Tip: so much to see and such a beautiful city

The Brunelleschi is an exceptional hotel which is perfectly situated to provide access to everything from the Duomo, to galleries, beautiful squares, lovely streets and stylish shops. It presents a wonderful atmosphere of calm and clever design with very comfortable immaculately kept rooms. Staff are all courteous and helpful and some, particularly at Reception, go out of their way to respond to requests, quietly and professionally. A small point - it would have been useful to know about the local tax which is added to the bill at the end of our stay, but we hope to return there one day.
Top Tip: The situation of the hotel makes it very easy to reach everything including numerous restaurants for all tastes. We enjoyed the traditional trattorias and osterias most and benefitted from advice from Reception staff. Portions are often large, so think about sharing courses.
Be careful - some restaurants, such as some in the square, add on VAT which isn't shown on the menus.
It's definitely wise to book the Ufizzi and Academia ahead, but choose an agent carefully to avoid unnecessary charges.
Not all restaurants serve tap water, which seemed odd to us as all the tap water we tasted in Florence was excellent! The classical Chianti wine is delicious!
With the pound currently as strong as it is, it is well worth buying leather bags etc from the markets, but choose and negotiate wisely!

A very comfortable hotel in central Florence. An excellent base from which to explore the city on foot.
Top Tip: The walking Food Tour was great and started nearby. Shops and trattorias are all very close.

We booked the hotel based on other users reviews and have to say the hotel was excellent. The staff were kind and friendly and could not do enough to help. We only ate breakfast at the hotel which catered for all. The hotel was extremely clean and was in s very good location. I will definitely be going again.
