Great hotel. Very friendly staff and a beautiful environment.
Rooms were spacious with a great mix of traditional and contemporary features. Our bathroom alone was approx 12*8ft (size of some rooms in Florence hotels).
Breakfast was also brilliant well cooked and well presented food available along with an extensive range of pastries for those with a sweet tooth. Staff were more than happy to get you a special coffee if the standard wasn't to your liking.
Only niggle would be that the mini-bar was very extortionate in comparison to other top hotels (€7 for a bag of small crisps just an example) however no shortage of shops nearby so easily solved.
4* hotel should be a 5* - very impressed

“ Central location, could not be better. Florence is a small city, walkable to all attractions.
“ Top Tip: Surrounded by restaurants, bar, great shopping. The choice is there.

Almost everything about this hotel was excellent. The situation was central and superb, less than 5 minutes walk from more exciting architecture than you could shake a very large stick at. The rooms generally overlook busy streets for those who want to people watch but the sound proofing is nearly perfect. I can only comment on our room which was a) clean, b) didn't contain a trouser press or chocolates on the pillow and c) modern without being uncomfortable. The bed was excellent and the linen just delightful. Service was excellent - attentive without being obsequious and the staff were multilingual throughout.
If I could find a criticism, and I'm only adding one because I feel that I ought to show some capability of doing so, it was that the plumbing from elsewhere was a little noisy - this might have just been an artifact of where we were in the building however.
All in all it was great without the stupid excesses that some hotels seem to feel are needed to make spoilt guests feel important.
“ Top Tip: Loads of great places within walking distance - walk west for the most interesting places

“ A superb and welcoming hotel in the middle of Florence's medieval centre. The staff are friendly attentive and extremely helpful. I suffered from toothache while I was there and the reception phoned a dentist for me and arranged a booking within minutes. I told the hotel before my visit that it was a special occasion (it was my wife's birthday) and we were upgraded and given a free bottle of Prosecco. The room was beautifully furnished and roomy with a superb view of the Duomo and the bell tower. Breakfast was full and varied with an extensive buffet to choose from. The situation of the hotel mean that most of Florence's attractions were just minutes away. I would never want to stay in another hotel in Florence.
“ Top Tip: There is a great (but tiny) restaurant for lunch in the Via Cerci, just seconds away. Take an open-top bus ride from the station to Fiesole. It's worth it.

The strength of this hotel lies in its situation and its staff. It is close to the Duomo in the very centre of Florence. I found everything I wanted to see within walking distance including the Accademia, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio etc. Restaurants of all kinds are close.
The room was quiet, which was what I'd asked for and the bed extremely comfortable. Buffet breakfast was excellent: fresh fruit, prosecco(!), cereals, meats. cheese, scrambled egg and "bacon" Italian style.
Staff at all levels went out of their way to be friendly and helpful.
