Beautiful hotel lovely location and great amenities. Restaurants were good and rooms are lovely. Even when busy still very relaxing. The pool and beach are great.
Top Tip: Oriental Village doesn't have that much and eating in hotel is better. Perdana Quay has better restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.Beautiful setting surrounded by lush forest and amongst stunning scenery.
Staff were so friendly and even let us into our room early after a long flight.
Would recommend a seaview chalet and request one near reception as some chalets are spread out.
Plenty of choice of restaurants and sporting facilities, went on a mangrove tour with Devs tours which was a great way to see the wildlife our guide Jerome was so full of information and went the extra mile to make the trip special.
oriental Village a short walk away is worth a visit, especially the cable car ride, the cafes here are very reasonably priced.
Transport to and from airport by taxi is easy to arrange when you get out of the airport and is only 26 ringgit.
Top Tip: Beach restaurant is a lovely place to eat with a stunning view.

This lovely hotel is in an excellent location. It is a 20min drive from the airport and cost around £6-8 in a taxi for four adults. It is set in the rainforest and on the coast, the reception area is surrounded by a sports and lobby bar, oriental restaurant - nice food but the portions are too big and we were not warned of this, buffet restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner) - breakfast had a large collection of American, English, continental and Asian food, gym and shop. Steps then lead down to the pool where there is a small children's pool and then a large adults pool which has a waterfall and a swim up bar. The pool bar serves wraps, sandwiches, pizzas and burgers, this food was ok but slightly unimaginative. The pool area then leads down to a nice private beach where there is the boat house bar and beach restaurant which serves western and Indian food. The menu has pizza, pasta, steak, fish and curry, the food was but nothing special. There is a selection of water sports available on the beach, jet skis cost approx £30 for 30min. Further up the resort is the thai restaurant, I thought this was the best restaurant and has a beautiful setting along the pier out in the sea. We stayed in 4144, this was a singular rainforest chalet, some of the rainforest chalets were in blocks and did not look that private. However ours stood alone and was nice, good air con and ceiling fan, great selection of toilettes, robes and slippers. The balcony had a beautiful view of the rainforest and we often saw monkeys and other wildlife. The rooms are perhaps slightly dated and could do with painting but it was still a nice change from a normal hotel. Our room was a 8min walk from reception or shuttles were always available. The hotel ask for a credit card or 200RM a night so then you just sign for food, drink and water sports. This is refunded if not used, however they did not accept visa debit on arrival. All the food and drink at the hotel was reasonably priced, for example it costs approx £45 for two adults to eat two course meal with drinks at thai restaurant, vodka and a mixer was £3, cocktails £4.
Top Tip: Take a trip to Pantai cenang, it was £6 per way in a taxi and took approx 25-30min. Here we found a fabulous spa which offered couples packages. There is also a large selection of shops, restaurants and bars which serve food and drink considerably cheaper than hotel. The majority of restaurants were Indian or Arabian food. There is also a beach and aquarium.

The hotel was great. Rooms are a little dated and could do with a refurbishment. The Happy Hour 5-7pm was great for cocktails. Overall prices in the restaurants was good value for money. The Thai Restaurant was great. The hotel is in the rainforest so lots of monkeys - not possible for you to sit on your balcony. Not recommended if you have fear of monkeys.
Top Tip: Take a taxi to Oriental Village or Padang Quays if you want to eat outside the hotel. Some really nice restaurants and very cheap.

An excellent resort for active people who don't mind hills and steps. It is unsuitable for those with walking difficulties and can be dangerous for young children. Its isolation is great for get away from it all vacations but the night life is limited therefore not good for party animals.
It suited my group of 50 somethings extremely well and we would go back again (tomorrow please as it is autumn in England)
Top Tip: Good choice of restaurants - hiring a car at the airport proved cheap and invaluable - prepare to haggle the car hire charge
