“ We had a wonderful view from our superior seaview room on the top floor. The staff were fantastic-nothing was too much trouble. We had not booked half board but we did have 3 evening meals in the hotel which were good and excellent value. Good choice at breakfast - bar and afternoon tea prices were reasonable. We would certainly return there at a later date.9.2 Magnificent

The Grand Hotel is ideally situated overlooking the fishing hamlet of Mgarr harbour and the surrounding verdant valley. The hotel enjoys panoramic views of Comino and Malta across the Gozo channel. Viewed from above, the to and fro of the fishing boats and the incomparable vistas add a romantic touch to the excellent hospitality offered at the hotel. Guests often comment on how enjoyable these views are from the private sun terraces found in most rooms. The island of Gozo has become a heaven for holiday makers wishing to get away from it all. The island offers peace and tranquillity without sacrificing its entertainment potential. Apart from clean beaches for summer enjoyment, there are shopping centres and numerous discotheques, cinemas and a variety of exquisite restaurants. For those interested in unforgettable cultural experiences, Gozo is a treasure trove of prehistoric remains of international importance, museums and exhibitions. Nearest Airport is Malta International Airport.

“ Top Tip: Lots of restaurants close by but the best we found was called Tmun where we had the best meal we've ever had.

“ The hotel is Ok. The staff are pleasant with an outstanding member of the Breakfast team -his name starts with a C. He is very friendly and welcoming. He makes you feel special. The business could really benefit from having a better chef responsible for breakfast and dinner. Just that and it would be a highly recommended hotel.
“ Top Tip: Tmun Restaurant- good service, good food. A 'must' visit when in Gozo

“ During my stay work was being carried out on the fourth floor, workmen arrived early morning, carrying in equipment, using drills & hammering. It would be normal for the work area to be sealed off from the rest of the Hotel, but one could smell the dust & see it on the furniture. The Hotel should consider having a lounge area for residents only (perhaps the first floor)when residents would come to the Bar for an evening drink, mostly no seating would be available as local people would use the bar as a social area to meet up. Food was good, but lacked variety over the week.
“ Top Tip: Good Pizza available at Marina bar bottom of hill opposite Ferry.
