Seashells Resort At Suncrest Hotel

Qawra, Malta

4 Star Hotel

Info

The Seashells Resort at Suncrest has been a leading 4 star hotel on the Maltese Islands since its very first days and has kept its tradition of hospitality within the AX group throughout the years. We decided that it was time to give the hotel a face-lift so during the winter months the hotel will be going through an extensive renovation programme with its doors re-opening on the 1st of April 2015.

The property is conveniently located on the Salina to St Paul’s Bay Promenade, merely a few minutes’ walk away from the National Aquarium. Right opposite the hotel entrance guests can also find a very handy bus stop. Take a left outside of the hotel and you will immediately start walking towards all the hustle and bustle of Bugibba and Qawra, the main tourist hub on the island. Take a right and you’ll be heading out on to the coast road for a 20 minute drive to St Julian’s to enjoy the most popular night life spot in Malta.

The hotel is located on the seafront for fantastic views of the Mediterranean and the best sunrise anyone could hope to wake up to. Guests can enjoy a sea water pool and pool bar (weather permitting) enabling them to experience a truly Mediterranean holiday. For the younger audience a kid’s pool, fun boat and slide promise fun, activity and excitement.

All the new rooms will be given a contemporary yet stylish look and each room will be complimented with a range of facilities to ensure maximum comfort. Amenities incl. Free Wi-Fi, Safe, Tea & Coffee facilities and Flat Screen TV.

Dining at the Seashells Resort at Suncrest has been for many years a relaxing and enjoyable experience. With several different outlets, the resort offers a varied choice of cuisine from BBQ grills to traditional Maltese dishes. Guests can choose to dine either inside in our fully air-conditioned buffet restaurants or al fresco on sizeable open air terraces under the stars and overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.

The Carisma Spa and Turkish bath (Hammam) will continue to pamper guests in a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Get ready for the new face of the Seashells Resort at Suncrest, your number one resort for individual, corporate and family travel.

This hotel would give the San Antonia a run for its money! The cuisine was excellent, a great variety of food available at each sitting....chairs and tables easily accessible and an outdoor eating area also available. The staff were excellent. It's a large hotel and yes, it might not be in 'the first flush of youth' so to speak, but beds were very comfortable, a superb pool that one could actually swim in, rather than meander between peoples just getting wet themselves..... There were steps down to the beach so one could also swim in the sea, safely. All taps worked efficiently, as did the bath and shower, even the so called public loos worked efficiently, unlike in some not a stones throw away. There's a bus stop immediately outside the hotel, for local, as well as tour buses and local shops, car hire firms and the like all within ten minutes walking distance.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Top Tip: Sun City pub.....along the street down by the police station...Thursday night quiz nights, Sunday afternoon socials, and, as a member of The British Legion we could also go there on Wednesday nights as a visitor. Why such a good pub? No televisions!!!!! Just good old conversation, sitting in comfortable chairs rather than metal and plastic ones! They also serve fish and chips or curries on a Friday night. This pub is a gem in the community and does a lot of fundraising too, especially for local Cancer charities and Help The Heroes. Hosts are Jane and Charlie...great folks and a good laugh.

The hotel was perfect for our needs, at the time I went last week in august, it had just about the right amount of people, so meal times was not a rush. Food was a good selection. The entertainment was good too. There was always lots to do if you wished ie water vollyball, water aerbics, the staff encoraged you to get involved. The room was basic but cleaned daily. I would certainly come back to this hotel again.
Top Tip: Get a room with a balcony, otherwise cant dry your clothes.
