“ A good, friendly and clean hotel. It can be quite busy but is well located on the harbour front and very close to bus routes that give cheap access all over the island. The ferry to Valletta is a short walk away. Not good in providing for vegetarians or others on a meat and fish-free diet.7.3 Good

“ Top Tip: near to everything, yet set back off the main road and noise

“ Great location on the waterfront in Sliema with stunning views over to Valletta. Excellent value for money. Rooms basic but spotlessly clean. Only downside the uncomfortable beds & extremely slow lift. Staff pleasant & helpful & a good choice of food at breakfast. Ideal location for seeing the island & the perfect base for people running in the marathon.
“ Top Tip: Ferry to Valletta very cheap & great fun. Local buses stop outside & there are a good variety of restaurants. Mdina worth a visit too.

The location was great, close to shops, bars, restaurants and the water taxi to Valletta. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean though basic. We had a studio at the back of the main hotel and it was quiet at night, so much so we could sleep with the balcony door open for fresh air. We were there in Feb though.
My complaints are this:
No mattress covers and sheets were not large enough to stay tucked in.
Beds too hard
The food was pretty awful, bland, not hot enough and mushy.
On the whole it was somewhere cheap and cheerful for a short stay but I would not do more than a few days. Definitely wouldn't do half board as the food in the local restaurants was awesome. I personally would give it 2 stars but that is subjective. I don't think I would stay there again.

“ Very large, clean and well serviced apartment at a bargain price. Can't complain!
“ Top Tip: Cafe Oblico make delicious pasta dishes and you get free wine! Lot's of other good eating places nearby and of course, Valletta is just a short bus journey away.
