We have used this hotel numerous times, and always found it good value. On this occasion we had a problem on arrival when reception had no knowledge of our booking. They did find us a room for the night, and resolved the problem the following day, moving us to a better room and giving us a complimentary evening meal as compensation.
As ever, the room was fine, the breakfast more than adequate and the restaurant staff excellent.
Top Tip: Walk up to Manoel Island and have a look at the Duck Village, especially if you have children. It is amazing to see ducks (obviously), pigeons, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs and even cats living in harmony.

The hotel was clean and staff where very helpfull and friendly, we where in an apartment self catering so can't comment on food as we didn't eat in hotel. I did find that the hotel had alot of student's staying there and there wasn't much in the way of evening entertainment which was a-shame as there was space to do so and would have probably made the hotel some money as we ate and drank in other hotel's to seek entertainment.
My husband is registered blind and it was a struggle at times when the student's where coming in large group's, he also found the place wasn't marked very well (eg.steps could have been marked better). Overall we had a lovelly stay.
Top Tip: bus stop outside-very handy. ferry just minutes away to the left of the hotel.

My second year here staying in a great apartment with sea views. It was just up from the main hotel. Very good facilities and good price. I was on my own but is 4 people used it it was even better value
Top Tip: Being right opposite a bus stop you could go anywhere in the island for Euro 1.50. Lots of shops and restaurants for all tastes
