Very helpful and friendly staff. Location very good for those happy to use buses to get around.
Some nice bars within 10 minutes walk. Hotel very clean and general upkeep excellent.
No complaints at all - stayed 5 nights.
Top Tip: Café Jubilee , St.Lucia Street - top place.

This is a lovely little hotel right next door to the Auberge de Castille, the Prime Minister's building. The accommodation is basic but comfortable, the welcome was very warm and it's perfectly located to explore Valletta as everything is very close, but also the whole of the island as the main bus terminus is nearby. I had a bit of a problem with the shower head stand, but this was a minor worry in what was otherwise an enjoyable stay. Great if you want to explore Malta with ease and not blow the budget. I would certainly return again.
Top Tip: If you walk out of the hotel and around the Auberge, keep walking until you get to Republic Street and turn left, you will cross a footbridge (the entrance to Valletta) and find yourself at a fountain. Here is the main bus terminus with buses to the whole island, only 1,50 Euros for the whole day. Walk round to the left for the bus pick-up stops.
Further down Republic Street in the other direction is Caffe Cordina which serves Maltese delicacies such as the famous 'pastizzi', and delicious ice cream and cakes.

Castille has old fashioned quality feel. The staff are very obliging. The rooms are a bit dated but we had a very good price. We had room 14 which has great view of the square. The hotel is centrally located at the top of the City and near to the bus depot. The breakfast room at the top of the hotel gives a great view of the harbour. Breafast is OK with hot and cold food.
Top Tip: Go by bus - all day ticket is only 1.5 Euros. Return bus trip to Gozo only 4.65 Euros. There is nice restaurant in St. James Cavilier centre opposite hotel. There are lovely gardens with a harbour view very close to the hotel and a great open air tea shop for snacks and drinks.

Staff were helpful, polite and friendly. Top floor restaurant had inspiring views over Valletta harbour and the food varied from fine to excellent. Plumbing was a little old fashioned but added to the charm of the place. Very handy location for exploring Valletta and only a stone's throw away from the central bus station and access to the rest of Malta.
Top Tip: The whole of central Valletta is at your doorstep!

My room was ok but over looking a horrible patio, I had to keep the curtains closed at times .I have
eaten in the restaurants three times and put the bills toward my room, they do not give you any
bill to sign!!,the night before my departure the concierge asked me to pay what I owe the hotel which
I found odd as normally you pay your bill before you leave in the morning,To my biggest surprise
The morning concierge called me in my room to remind me of the checking out time and to tell me that I still owe the hotel more money which I paid because the night concierge did not give me a receipt!!.
Top Tip: Get a week bus pass for 6.50 which you can use all over the island
