The hotel is great on every aspect - food, location, rooms and service. Worth paying a little extra (compared to other so called 4*). Would most definitively return.

The hotel was of a much lower standard than other Riu hotels I have stayed at. It could do with updating, especially the reception area. Useful if you speak french. Very few of the hotel staff speak english. Very few of the hotel staff and other guests were friendly towards english guests. The staff seem to go out of their way for french guests, which dominated the hotel. Entertainment and food was poor. Very little vegetarian food, however, there was a good variety of non-vegetarian food and desserts.

Variety of facilities at the hotel is good but what is the point when you are made to feel unwelcome. Even the hotel staff who could speak english were not particularly friendly. It is very close to the beach and promenade, which is good. The room wasn't ready when we arrived at the hotel and then they said they said to give us an inferior room to the one we had paid for until the next day as the hotel was full. The next day we were told that the room they were movng us to would be ready by 12 noon, however, it wasn't ready until a few hours after that and after many requests for the room I had paid for to be provided.

There are lots of steps in the hotel.. To get to the bar, restaurants, beach etc. Not a problem for us but most of the older guests struggled with the steps. There are lots of restaurants nearby but shops are a longer walk away.

I didn't enjoy the stay at the hotel and would not stay there again.

Staff friendly.

Food great - buffet selection changes daily. Rooms large and clean.

Lovely promenade. Thirty minute walk to marina along promenade.

Lots of effort made with day and night entertainment.

Lots of stairs, mostly with rails but last three steps to dining room without rails not good for person with mobility problems. Lifts do not cover this area.

Only one female toilet round pool area.

Special requests do not mean 'confirmed'. Asked for rooms to be near each other - one on ground floor, other on second. Booking made months previous to travel. Were unable to offer any other rooms.

I've stayed with Riu Hotels before and the difference in quality is unbelievable. This hotel lacked any proper hotel management and the staff behind reception their just don't have a clue. I had a problem with my room and their response was "at least you have a room sir!" the bathroom was terrible, broken parts everywhere, electrical wires sticking out of the head board and probably one of the 5 rooms in the whole hotel without a balcony. I did complain but they just wouldn't have any of it. Others complained a got changed but they really had to cry and get their holiday reps involved who obviously had some influence.

The food was OK in the hotel, not 4 star but 3 star quality. Same stuff daily!!!

Pool was very good, plenty of beds and good staff.

Bars were good inside with good table service, very good service, the bar by the pool was OK but staff were rude and favoured some guests over others.

General quality of the hotel was poor, by Morrocon standards it might have been a 4 star but by standards set by all the hotels I've been to around the world including Riu hotels I would give this a 3 star at best! If its the first Riu you have been too then it will be OK but if you've been to others then you will be very disapointed. I would suggest looking for other hotels in Agadir. I would go back to Agaidr but I would DEFO not stay here!

We stayed in Room 07 this looks out onto the service entrance and the hotel next door.
Normally I would think, no probs (you can actually see the sea from the balcony) but there was re-roofing work with an electric winch, being operated from 08.00-to 5.30pm outside the window, this was not a problem as we were out of the room mostly during these times.....However, I am a light sleeper, and the incessant boom boom boom of the nightclub, made me want to be home!
Hotel staff, food, entertainment, pool, animation staff were all superb.
The location of the hotel is also excellent....with one exception, slight grumpy unhelpful person on the currency desk...ho hum
Top Tip: If you feel in need of a "proper coffee" walk towards the port until you see "The coffee company", pricey but worth it
