About Marrakech

A city of two halves, Marrakech offers both the hustle and bustle of its ‘old town’ and all the conveniences of modern living in its ‘new town’. Marrakech is one of Morocco’s four imperial cities, and has a long history as a pioneer in both trade and culture. The Medina quarter is the place to experience real authentic Morocco. This is where you’ll find the seemingly endless maze of markets (called souqs), close to the main square in the city, Jemaa el-Fnaa.

Whether you’re looking to dive into the authentic Moroccan experience and try out your bartering skills in the maze of souqs, or lounge around on a sun roof before enjoying the air-conditioned shopping centres of Gueliz, Marrakech has something for everyone.

Book With Us

We have an enormous number of options for you to choose from in Marrakech, with over 700 hotels and apartments available, ranging from authentic Riads (a traditional Moroccan house with an interior courtyard) to modern resorts equipped with swimming pools and sunbeds. We can also help you to find the best flights for your trip, as well as arrange transfers from the airport as well as car hire.

When To Go

Late spring and early autumn will get you the best temperatures for exploring the city, with the mid-summer heat reaching a sweltering 37 degrees. Unless you want to stick to the air-conditioned shopping centres of Gueliz, you might want to avoid this period. The city stays mostly dry all year-round, with a slightly increased chance of rain in the winter, although cultural and historical sites are open all year.

Where to Stay

Marrakech is best experienced in a converted Riad, which looks beautiful and tends to be situated pretty close to the main attractions in the Medina quarter. This will put you in a great position to get to the souqs, hammam bathhouses and Koutoubia Mosque. Gueliz is great if you’re looking for something a little more contemporary, or want to be close to the modern shopping district.
