This floating hotel is located right next to the former NDSM shipyard. You will therefore be right in the artistic and cultural hotspot of Amsterdam. You will be spending the night on the River IJ. You can't get more "Amsterdam" then that.
We offer 175 cabins, each with their own shower, toilet, telephone and television.

“ Our stay at the botel was brilliant , rooms are small but very comfortable, toilet are small and the shower is very small yet its not as small as it looks once ur in it. The ladies in reception aren't very helpful and i never seen them smile once. The beds are comfortable and rooms heat up very quickly. At first i thought that having to get a boat to the botel would be a nuisance but in actual fact it turned out to be good , through the day the one boat takes u straight to central but wrap up coz its sooo cold! Then at night the boat from central changes u have to get it at the next pier which then takes u directly across from the station but the botel mini bus is always sitting waiting for you to drive u directly to the botel so no complaints! Breakfast was lovely and u can eat as much as u like! Overall no major complaint and will definitely be staying again!!
*wrap up well as its frozen cold !
*watch out for the bikes as i nearly got run over loads of times
*the bulldog hotel lounge is by far the best place for food & if u enjoy a good smoke!
*at night central station closes so you have to walk all the way around the station to get the boat.

We chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced. We were pleasantly surprised, the room was small but cosy, the shower was very powerful but be warned, it gets VERY hot - I scalded my arm. Getting to the Botel was very easy – we arrived in Amsterdam via Centraal Station, from here we hopped onto the FREE ferry towards NSDM Pier (about 15 mins) and then it was a 2 minute walk from there to the Botel. Check in was quick and easy. The breakfast was simple continental but very nice – there was a choice of hot and cold foods which was constantly topped up.
The best thing about the hotel was that it was away from the centre so it was nice and quiet – we were on the top floor. It was easy to get into the centre using the ferry system and we could walk around a lot but it is easy enough to get on the tram.
I would definitely stay here again if I was in Amsterdam for a few days.
“ Top Tip: There are a few boat bars next to the Botel which we wanted to try but ran out of time - they seemed to be quite busy.
