Excellent hotel, close to most places of interest very near to Dam square. Go for the canal view rooms, which are excellent. Breakfast good value for money, and staff really helpful. Would recommend this hotel to mainly able people as the steps are quite steep accessing the hotel, but suitable for both young and old couples, but perhaps not families.
Top Tip: Most people are bound to want to go to the Red Light District, and we were recommended to go on a guided tour first. This was a brilliant idea and gave us the confidence to tour the area on our own, and no it is not just about sex shops, as there are may places of interest to visit, like the "Secret Church", and the restaurants are excellent and reasonably priced.

I thought that the hotel staff were rude and the hotel room we stayed in had bed bugs as me and my girlfriend had loads of bites come up and even found a live one in the bed. Also had brought the bugs back home with us as we had bites still appearing for a week after we came home. Due to this we had to make sure we took the right measures to get rid of them buy chucking some clothes away and buying new bedding. Amsterdam is a brilliant place full of weird and wonderful things and great friendly people but I would never stay at that hotel again.

My room was very tiny but clean and the bathroom was ok. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in the perfect location and extremely central to all areas and easy to get to via public transport.
Top Tip: Close to some very good restaurants.

This hotel was in a very good location. The hotel itself was tired, the room was hot and there was no air con and you could not open the windows. No tea making facility either.
