Info

The magnificent architectural style of the Old Village was based on buildings of the seventeenth century of our country.

With a traditional Portuguese building, the OLD VILLAGE currently is a quality resort with apartments and villas and is located in VILAMOURA, one of the most prestigious holiday destinations in the Algarve and 25 minutes from the international airport of Faro.

Surrounded by the beautiful fairways of the golf course "pine" with gardens and corridors typical portugal.

With supermarkets, restaurants, bars, swimming pools and a playground, all surrounded by beautiful gardens.
THE OLD VILLAGE was designed to offer great security for those who are on vacation.

All our rooms offer comfort and are very well equipped, from studios to apartments with five rooms (which can accommodate ten people).

You can enjoy the wonderful view of the gardens that surround the rustic village through the patios or balconies of apartments.

Apartment was nice and the complex has a lot of facilities if you don't want to venture into the resort centre.
Disappointed with the maid service, you don't get any on a weekend and then quite a lot of other days they just come in to empty the kitchen bin.
Some of the light bulbs went out and although we reported this to reception, they were never replaced during our stay.
Also on the website it listed a hairdryer as being available in the apartments, this was not the case. So I would recommend that you take on with you.
Top Tip: Vilamoura is a great resort, I would recommend trying restaurant Il Trio fantastic food and extensive menu.

Beautiful complex with a variety of restaurants and bars to eat and drink at. 3 pool areas, 2 with pool bar serving food and drinks, and a shop selling suncream, swimming aids, towels tshirts etc. Our studio apartment was well equipped and even had a washing machine, and a daily maid service. The grounds were beautifully maintained. About a 20 min walk to beach/marina. We had a lovely stay here, and will definitely be going back.

The Old Village is a very nice complex that has a intimate and friendly feel to the place. It is set away from the main marina area but is an easy 15 min stroll to a lot of variable restaurants. That said, the Old Village itself has restaurants that are very good - Princess Gardens was a delight. The accommodation is comfortable and easily accommodates a family of four. Our particular apt could do with a little bit of TLC and a bit of modernising in the bathroom but other than that it was good. The only bad point is having stayed at Old Village before I do not recall having to battle for sunbeds around pools. Either the staff stop people from tossing towels over the fence in an effort to reserve (!) sunbeds or they remove these and allow the less courteous holiday makers the collect their removed towels and adhere to the site regs.
Top Tip: Ask for an upstairs apt to get a roof top terrace which was lovely - commanding privacy, sun all day and a nice place to finish off the day with a pre- evening meal tipple!

Lovely complex villa basic but clean reception excellent Marina about 10 minutes walk. Vilamoura beach about 15 minutes walk, and falesia beach at least a 40 minute walk, but you van pay 2.50 euros on a family train to all places. The only thing was the restaurants onsite a little expensive.
Top Tip: Osheas irish bar really good and the 19th hole fairways restaurant really good.

Hadn`t a clue really what we had booked as we went for a really late booking, well only 36 hours before!
Well, once we arrived, only 35 mins from the airport, greeted by a cheery soul, who proceeded to instantly show us to our unknown abode.Wandering through cobbled streets to the other end of the Village, passing a few bars/restaurants,we arrived at our villa, couldn`t believe our eyes, the place was fantastic, remote a/c,roof terrace with a great view, fully fitted kitchen with everything you would need, gorgeous lounge with large flatscreen, leading on to the terracotta terrace, tables, chairs, loungers, bbq and lawned garden with flowers everywhere.
Supermarket is handy with all the essentials, swimming pools are immaculate.
We had villa 5ab.
Top Tip: Taxi it down to Vilamoura town and marina, only 4 euros,it`s only 10-15 mins walk, but in that heat you might melt.
Take your own t-bags!
