“ Vilabranca was a great midrange place to stay. Light and spacious apartment, pretty pool area, delightful reception staff, and within easy walking distance of beach and town. We were there at the end of season so it was very quiet but still plenty of shops, cafes, public transport etc.8.5 Excellent

Leisure options include pool/snooker tables and a seasonal entertainment programme. From Faro Airport via the A22 motorway: Exit Faro Airport onto the main road alongside the airport roundabout (with statues looking to the sky), and follow the signs for Faro and the A22. Continue along this road for approximately 2.5 km. Take the second exit to the right, signposted 'A22/Lisbon/Portimeo'. This slip road will lead onto a busy dual carriageway; keep following this, and after a few minutes get into the left lane to take the IP1 signposted 'Espanha-Lisboa'. After approximately 1.5 km, take the slip road signposted 'Portimeo' (do NOT take the turning before this signposted 'Espanha'). This will lead to the A22 motorway. Continue westwards on the A22 for approximately 65 km, and take exit number 1 for Lagos, signposted 'Vila do Bispo/Sagres/Lagos' (please do not take the first Lagos exit, number 2, signposted 'Lagos Este', but rather the following one). Drive straight through the 1st roundabout, following the sign indicating 'Lagos/Vila do Bispo/Sagres'. At the second roundabout, turn left, following the sign indicating 'Lagos'. Drive straight through the next roundabout. Afterwards, there will be a supermarket called Intermarche on the right-hand side. At the traffic lights, turn right and drive straight ahead for 900 m. Then the complex will be straight ahead.

“ Spacious and well equipped apartments in a lovely quiet location.

“ Spotlessly clean and staff very helpful; but the apartment was very cold on our arrival and no advice available about how to put the heating on. Kitchen lacking in equipment; otherwise very good.
“ Top Tip: For cheap and cheerful meal, try Brazao restaurant behind the supermarkets. Very basic, but very helpful and friendly.

We recently stayed, our apartment wasn't serviced all week!! The apartments are very spacious, but not very welcoming or homely.Very sparsely furnished. The water had been standing so long that it was full of rust and we had to flush the tank out half a dozen times,so that I could have a bath in clean water.
The apartment was nicely situated for walking to most places, but the noise from adjoining villas, people walking and moving stuff about, echoed quite loudly and it woke us up a few times.
Wouldn't stay at this place again. We'll try somewhere else next time,as we do intend to visit Lagos again,as it is a lovely place.
“ Top Tip: Our first beach visit was to Porto Mos,and the little café/bar on the beach was great, nice friendly service, good food and awesome cocktails and sangria, especially the champagne one!

“ Vilabranca was a great midrange place to stay. Light and spacious apartment, pretty pool area, delightful reception staff, and within easy walking distance of beach and town. We were there at the end of season so it was very quiet but still plenty of shops, cafes, public transport etc. Only niggle was that the kitchen wasn't very well equipped which made it difficult to cook and we had to take it in turns to use the one big cup. Everything else was fabulous!
“ Top Tip: The Eureka mini mart is right opposite the entrance to Vilabranca and opens at 8am every day. Their bread is baked instore and is absolutely delicious. Lovely people and they sell everything.
