These apartments are ideal for families, as the entertainment is silly and amateurish, appealing to the children and young people not recommended for us oldies, and the climate at this time of year can be very cool at night the only bar open is out in the open, no other bar inside to sit in. We had to go out to a bar and pay for our drinks even though we were all inclusive. .The apartments are ok, bedding and towels clean and the food is very good. So 5 out of ten as, for us, half of what's on offer is good but not the whole package.
Top Tip: 10 minute walk to town, beach and market, downhill going, uphill back.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Caleta Dorada. The hotel was nice an clean, staff were friendly an the food was great, plenty of choice !!
Location was a ten min walk from the beach an bars etc which was a nice stroll down to.
Overall it was great Apart from finding the beds a little too hard (personal preferance) I really can't fault the place an would definitely return!!
Top Tip: Buy some monkey nuts and hand feed the chipmunks down near the marina or beach

If we start from the perspective that it cost three adults the equivalent of £22.50 per night for half board in a two bedroom appartment then it would be churlish to say that it was not value for money.
The breakfasts and evening meals offer plenty of choice but over the week there is not too much variety. The food is not cordon bleu but you would not expect it at the price we were paying.
The bungalow we were in was clean but in need of refurbishment- interior wall plaster crumbling, mattress uncomfortable, lights not working, shower hose needing replacing. We could see that other bungalows were similarly dowdy
Our personal gripe was that as half board guests we felt treated as second class citizens compared to "All Inclusive Guests". On arrival at the dining room we presented our half board cardto be ticked off and were lodly told in front of other guests that as half board guests we could only have water and tea with our meal. Not a problem other than we couldn't immediately find the water. We poured two small fruit juices only for my wife to be loudly told off and a bill literally slapped on the table. We resolved the issue and did not pay but it was not a good start (by the way the water can be accessed via a small blue button on the fruit juice machine).Ironically you can drink whateveryou like at breakfast.
Top Tip: Hire a car. We got ours from Autoreissen for 105 Euros for the week all inclusive. Visit Morro Jable in the south; the shimmering Sand Dunes of the north east near Corallejo and the Playa da Oliva; the Molinos de Antigua, Betancuria and the viewpoint at Morro Velosa in the centre/east; Ajuy on the east coast; El Cotillo and Playa de Lagos on the north east coast, Depending on how many are in your party you can recoup your money almost immediately against the price of an excusrsion. Petrol was only 90c per litre
