“ We were on third floor. Furnishings very shabby. Furniture very uncomfortable. Kitchen very poorly equipped for self catering. Only 3 coat hangers and no sink plugs in room to start with. TV extremely expensive to view and hiring safe far too expensive. Restaurant was closed. Cheap in every sense of the word. Apparently the upper more expensive rooms are better.
“ Top Tip: Would recommend the Blarney Stone bar in town. Great Irish entertainment.

A very clean Hotel with towels changed and room tidied every other day.
The reception area was very neat and staff were most helpful. The supermarket on site was very useful - otherwise it was a steep walk up the ramp to the road level and a five minute walk up to the Europa Centre supermarket/shops/restaurants etc.
Around the pool the sunloungers were a bit dated and you had to pay 1 euro for a mattress, several of the sunloungers were broken.
“ Top Tip: Amadores beach is a good steep walk away, okay when you are going but a good hike back to the complex. The Europa Centre has improved a lot over the past two years and there are a couple of good restaurants here. Entertainment is provided at the Barbacoa ( if you like tribute groups/solo artists loud).

“ The hotel was very basic, not very clean and had an awful smell of drains throughout the apartments. The hotels location is good and provides amazing views of the sea but is at the top of a very steep hill which would not be ideal for young family's or the elderly however the taxis to the Commercial Centre only cost 4/5 euros so it's fairly cheep. The pool area was nice and seamt to have plenty of sunbeds available at all times, the views from the pool were amazing. The food provided from the hotel was very basic and not very enjoyable at all. The staff at Blue Star apartments were very rude and couldn't be less helpful if they tried. I wouldn't recommend a stay at Blue Star as overall it was really dissappointing for myself and my family.
“ Top Tip: Amadores Beach is stunning, I would deffinately recommend you take a walk down.
