“ Just returned from six nights at the el pinar, when we arrived at the hotel at 11 and the receptionist said room wasn't ready and to come back at 12. Went to have some lunch and returned at 1,only to then be told it wouldn't be ready till 2? And that no rooms are ready till 2 as previous customers vacate at 12.8.5 Excellent

“ Excellent location, overlooking a beautiful bay and surrounded by pine trees, ideal for a relaxing break. The hotel room was more than adequate, was cleaned daily and towels were also changed daily. The general areas of the hotel, dining room, bar areas and pool were also exceptionally clean. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Cannot comment on the food in the dining room as we were self catering, but did have a snack on the terrace on arrival and this was very tasteful. Would recommend to anyone, especially in late September, early October, who is looking for a relaxing quiet break. Will certainly return at some point.
Valentinos - great steak on the stone
The Terrace - tapas and a limited menu available, but excellently cooked and well presented food
Sols Bar - good beer, friendly surroundings
Ibiza restaurant - good variety, well cooked food, cheerful service

Just returned from six nights at the el pinar, when we arrived at the hotel at 11 and the receptionist said room wasn't ready and to come back at 12. Went to have some lunch and returned at 1,only to then be told it wouldn't be ready till 2? And that no rooms are ready till 2 as previous customers vacate at 12. Ourselves and another couple were the only ones left waiting as we were staying in the apts, others were in hotel. I found this odd as nowhere does it state that if arriving before 2pm will you have to wait for your room. After a little back and forth between us and a rude receptionist we finally got our key to room 103.
Large studio with small balcony(can stand, not sit) a view of the trees. I could not fault the room atall, everyday we had maid service and got fresh clean towels :). Beach is right there and all restaurants 2 min walk. Bus stop, ferry service close by. Taxi rank about a 5 min walk away. Weather was fab for oct. Already going to book for next year. Other than the room incident I can't fault this hotel.
“ Top Tip: Best places to eat SOS for a nice meal. And flippers for all things English and cheap and cheerful ;)

“ Located less than 100m from a good sandy beach. Supermarkets, restaurants all close at hand. Clean swimming pool. Variable evening entertainment. Good choice breakfast menu. Buses to major towns start/terminate 400m from hotel.
“ Top Tip: The Bocano Resataurant 400 m from hotel good select of food from tapas to steaks, friendly staff and less pricey than some.

My wife and I wanted a relaxed no fuss 5 day break on a bed and breakfast basis, the El Pinar and Cala Llonga was ideal, I would return to both.
Pro's - Very clean (slightly worn). Friendly staff. 50m walk to the edge of the beach 250m to the centre, this is via a short flight of stairs (about 6 steps) add 500m on if you want to avoid the steps. A good variety a breakfast (fruit, cereal, cooked, yogurt, pastry's). 500m walk to the restaurants and bars of Cala Llonga. A roomy clean courtesy room with a plentiful supply of clean towels for use if like us you have a late night flight as check out is 1200 hrs. A 24 reception. Well maintained and clean pool. Effective Aircon which you can turn off if you wish. A functional and well supplied kitchen, if you want to make complex meals it may be a bit of a faff.
Cons - Rooms in the main building are subject to a bit of noise from the bar but this does not go on to late, request a room in the building across the road and this is not a problem.
The beach. Clean beach and sea. It is 5 Euro's per sunbed and parasol per day and you don't get a discount for arriving later in the day, but the sunbeds and parasols are well maintained and plentiful, there is room to bring and put down your own towel. The sea has a shallow sloping shelf.
The town has a good variety of bars and restaurants to try, a couple of small supermarkets and a few other shops if you like to buy a bit of holiday tatt.
There are some street hawkers, but these don't harass much.
Restaurants to visit;
Flippers. Good food, very friendly atmosphere. The food is primarily pub style food but please don't allow this to put you off there are also local options and the atmosphere is great.
Restaurante SOS. Spanish sea food and other dishes done well. Very welcoming and friendly.
