The hotel was lovely, very well placed for the beach, just over the road. The room was very comfortable, had flat screen tv but very little choice for English channels. Cleaned every day and towels changed everyday even if you left them hanging up. Rooms carpeted and all hallways carpeted. The hotel delivered two out of three requests were met had a high floor and balcony, shower and bath good. We had use of a free fridge, water supplied every evening free with your meal. 4 little bottles put in fridge half way through our 7 night stay.
The pool area great, gym fairly good there is a vending machine on the roof which was very reasonable only 1 euro for cans and bars of English chocolate. Did not use pool as weather not hot enough, but showers in both areas of roof top.
If your up to walking, you can walk from Arrecife on the coast line all the way to Puerto Del Carmen around 12 kilometres
If you wish to engage in conversation with other holiday makers, this is not for you, only a few bars to drink in even if you walk for miles. The Gran 5 * hotel is the cheapest place to buy your pint of larger. The bar/ cafe is on the 17 th floor with stunning views. Hardly anyone uses it in the evenings. Town area has no more shops then the resorts, we caught the bus to costa Teguise to see some life.
Food in the hotel was disappointing, salads were their best presented. A good selection of deserts and fresh fruit, but main meals were poor as was the hot breakfast choice.

We love the island , have been to Lanzarote many times but would not stay in Arrecife again
Top Tip: Sunbed hire very reasonable on beach. Only 3 € and 2€ for umbrella half the price of other resorts.
Buses are every 20 minutes in the week and every half an hour on weekends very cheap fares and bus station just down the road.
Marina and shops worth a look. The castle by the town is all in Spanish so you can't understand what the displays are about.

Really helpful staff. Very friendly. Very clean. English Spoken. Room very good. Lift very efficient. Breakfast very varied.
It is worth getting the sea view rooms
Top Tip: Local Tourist Information bureau really helpful. Lolita pasteleria just down the road very good.
Local service buses very good. Teguise is a lovely village worth exploring on the local bus.
You can't drive a car through the volcano park and have to go on specially provided buses. There is quite a queue for car drivers to get on the bus, so maybe a conducted tour (some a very cheap) from your hotel or travel agent is a better idea because you don't have to queue up.

Very central & easy to get to by public bus from the airport - you get off at the interchange stop before the main bus station, head towards the high rise green glass building and it is right near there. Hotel very friendly, very clean - we had lots of jokes with the guys on reception about our terrible spanish - but it heps if you try a little in Arrecife as it is NOT a brit tourist resort. We asked for a high floor room with sunny balcony facing sea front - and this is exactly what we got. Very pleased with the room (508). I think the non- sea front rooms would not be so good as they just face a side street, but we got the sea /beach smack in front of us, complete with lovely sunsets. Breakfast buffet fine, but don't expect full english - bacon every day and eggs done different each day - otherwise spanish/continental fare but plenty of choice and always topped up. Nice space on the roof for sunbathing and a small pool/gym.
We thought it was great.
Top Tip: We found a great little cafe/bar just round the corner from the hotel called El Cafetin. Cheap, cheerful and full of locals enjoying themselves. Had very reasonably priced tapas which, though basic, we found quite delicioios and loved the unpretentious feel of the place.

Excellent stay. Will definitely be going back.
We cannot fault this hotel.
Top Tip: This beach is right in front of the hotel with natural protection from the open sea, ideal for snorkelling.
Hotel and beach area very clean.
