We have stayed at this hotel many times and love the overall accommodation/facility package. We have had "pot luck" with previous room allocation. All rooms face the sea and some have better views than others.
We understand that any "requests" cannot be guaranteed to be complied with but usually ask for an upper floor room with a view. This time, we ended up with a first floor room with a massive rubber tree blocking the sea view.

Hotel was clean, staff work hard, reception is great to look at with the hanging garden, stream and moving floor! The rooms are in need of refurbishment but adequate. We had to move rooms partway through our holiday due to a leak in the bathroom. It was stated that one of the pools was heated but we couldn't tell the difference they were all very cold. Plenty to do, tennis courts, mini golf, squash, place for spa treatments and small gym
The food is OK breakfast probably the best, glad we weren't all inclusive wouldn't have wanted every meal there as the food is very similar each day. We were half board and you can swap dinner for lunch if you wish which worked better for us as there's no atmosphere in the restaurant.
The staff at the hotel are mainly friendly and helpful but one or two were abrupt and unhelpful.
Overall it was good value for money, we were there early February when it seems mainly frequented by elderly people but I suspect this changes as the school holidays approach.
Best eating out for us was La Bohemia, El Bocadillas both on same road about a 10 minute walk.
Oscars is further. All excellent, good atmosphere, great service and offering more traditional local food. Helga's 2 minutes from hotel great coffee.
