Very good hotel. Staff excellent. Proximity to shops, restaurants, sea and good walking. The kitchen facilities were minimal. very difficult to make the basic meal. We had a great holiday.
Top Tip: Restaurat opposite the hotel served excellent food. Miramar bar in a wonderful setting and very good food. Playa Beach, on the coastal path is spectacular but worth noting it's mainly visited by naturists.

The apartment was clean with a balcony overlooking the pool. The maid service was very good and the towels changed daily.

There were not many useful pans etc as I would have wished for a SELF CATERING holiday and only 2 electric hotplates.

Unfortunately the hotel is sited up a steep hill and since I am 78 yrs old, it was a hard climb for me.

The beach was nearby and had a couple of restaurants and a shop.

A lovely unspoiled area.
Top Tip: One had to have a car or be a walker to benefit fully from the amenities of Menorca.

The hotel is rated as 4 star, but falls sort in many areas. Firstly the food is truly dreadful, the quality is low and the selection poor.
The room had a nasty smell, associated with bad drainage and the furnishings are tired at best.
However the staff tried hard, which helped a bit.

We had a pleasant stay at the Floramar Aparthotel from 10th September for 7 nights self catering. The room was cleaned and tidied on a daily basis and fresh towels provided. The room was spacious and comfortable and had tv with BBC 1 and 2 English channels. The bathroom had bath and shower..there was always hot water anytime of day which was great.
We made use of the pool which is a good size and was cleaned on a daily basis. We also used the badminton courts and although didnt use the gym could see it was a good size and offered most gym equipment.
The wifi in reception wasnt great..it would work and then cut out after a few minutes.
The location of the hotel is perfect. .close to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. The hill back from the town is ok for most people.
I would recommend this hotel to older couples.
Top Tip: Sa luna resturant is close by and offers some lovely meals especially the 3 course daily menu which was varied and great value. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

We have been to Cala Galdana many times and love the beach and resort, however this was the first time at this hotel and we will never return to it. The hotel itself is o.k., just a little dated. The staff are generally great and very friendly. We paid for a 2 bedroom apartment with sea views and the room itself was clean and a really good size. However, we had a tiny balcony (just about fit 2 people on it) with hardly any view of the sea - really not worth the extra money and incredibly disappointing. The room (222) was above the kitchens and the rear entrance to the hotel. The room was double glazed but between the noise from the kitchens (wheeling bins out at night and emptying them into the large municipal bins outside our room at midnight), delivery lorries early in the morning and the municipal rubbish collection (we were woken up between 4:30 and 5:00 EVERY morning, either with deliveries to the hotel or bin lorries emptying all the bins) we didn't sleep for more than 4 hours any night of our 12 night stay. After the first night we asked to be moved but were told the hotel was full and we had to stay in that room for our stay. A few more nights into our stay we asked to be moved to their sister hotel in Fornells, but that was full too. We have all returned exhausted and so disappointed that our holiday really was spoilt by the terrible room and lack of sleep. If you go here and are offered either room 122 or 222 do not take it!!
The food was o.k., with a reasonable choice and continually being replaced/refreshed by the chefs who work really hard. I asked for vegetarian food and had nothing other than salad and boiled eggs! After asking again the following night, there was a pastry with vegetables - which contained meat. The rest of the family thought the food was o.k. for the price of the hotel though.
Our flight was late in the evening and we were offered showers and towels to wash before the airport. In other hotels we have been able to use a spare room, however the facilities here are the showers next to the squash courts. This is one large room with open plan showers and no lock on the door. It is mixed sex with no privacy at all. You also have to change in the open and leave your bags in the hotel corridor and pack/repack them there. Really not great.
We'd seen this hotel many times and thought we'd try it this year - never again :( Save a bit extra and go to a better hotel!
Top Tip: DO NOT accept room 122 or 222 - you won't sleep at all.
