“ Cala Galdana is a pretty resort and The Sol Gavilanes has a fantastic position on the beach. My son and I had a brilliant holiday there; the hotel was modern and clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the view from our room was beautiful. Even though it was not high season (we went end of October) everything was open, the weather was hot and there was plenty for us to do.9.3 Magnificent

“ Top Tip: from the beach you can walk/cycle along a lovely coastal path which takes you to a couple of secluded coves , well worth the effort

Hotel in an excellent position right on the beach. Rooms nice & clean. Ours had a fridge, TV and a safe which was free. Maid service every day, bedding nice & clean and changed three times over the week. Beds, however, a little hard. Bathroom with bath, overhead shower, bidet, toilet and wash basin, again, very clean. Meals buffet style, plenty to eat and quite a variety, but only ever luke warm. There was a chef cooking fresh steaks, chicken and fish at dinner, which was the answer if you wanted something hot. Trouble was, the accompanyments were only ever warm. Avoid the pizza! Yuk! Having said all this, you never went hungry.
It was near to the end of the season, but there was still live entertainment every evening. An ideal bay for families with children as the crystal clear water stayed shallow for quite a way out. Its ideal for snorkelling and for the more adventurous, there is a dive club underneath the hotel. There is also a medical centre on site. If you fancy going to Cuitadella for the day, jump on the service bus - its only 2.85 euros each way, each. They charge 14 euros each to go on the organised trip.
“ Top Tip: There are several walks leading to nearby hidden beaches. One was via a woodland clifftop walk which began by walking over the footbridge which went over the marina entrance. The walk takes about an hour, and as you arrive at the beach at the other end, your descent takes you down 200 wooden steps! There is a nice beachside cafe with toilets here for some welcome refreshments! There are several other walks in other directions also - one favorite was along the 'ravine' as we called it. This was a nice riverside walk, heading inland away from the marina, which has cliffs flanking one side, and is an absolute wildlife haven. On a sunny day, it is alive with stunning butterflies, and you will see booted eagles circling overhead, spotted flycatchers, kestrels, ravens, wrens and much more. Would we go back? Oh yeah.

We were on our honeymoon and there was no mention or benefit added, very disappointed from start of stay, we then had to pay 4 euros a day to park our hire car in an empty car park, very unhappy about this!! Also, we had a one year old with us and told we could use a communal microwave or pay 10 euro to have a kettle in our room, it is pretty standard and expected that this should be included within any stay in a decent hotel!.
Food, cleanliness fantastic

Superbly located hotel right next to the beach and front facing rooms are well appointed and have an excellent view of sea which in distance looks over to Majorca.
Pool was fairly dull and boring compared to other hotels we visited.Nearly every white plastic pool bed was broken but mattresses protected you ! Could do with a pool bar !
Food generally good and adequate and plenty of it !
Some staff appear aloof and uninterested
Watch out for jelly fish in the sea--but flag warning helps, there is a first aid hut, they are not deadly but painful (bee sting type).
Audax hotel across bay just off beach worth a visit...check out a room and their pool !
