The hotel was clean and presentable and good value for money.
“ Top Tip: We found a lovely fish restuarant on the front which we think was called Les Barques or similar. Good value, fresh food.

“ This is a nice hotel in a good location. It was clean and well kept. I would say the pool area is quite small for the amount of people at the hotel- there were sunbed wars every day! The lifeguard takes people's towels off if they try to reserve them. The entertainment was excellent, kids and adult activities during the day then excellent stage shows at night. The rooms were quite basic and let the place down- in my opinion they have been superficially refurbished to give the appearance of a 4 star hotel but I would say they are more 3 star standard. The food was plentiful with lots of selection, live cooking stations and good quality food. The only issue is that you are not seated by staff and you have to get your own drinks at the bar in the restaurant- I think the hotel saves money by having limited staff. Again, I think this is more the standard I would expect at a 3 star hotel. That said, the few staff there are were polite and helpful. There is a very good selection of drinks and bar snacks during the day, but again large queues at the bars due to limited staff. This hotel would be improved up to 4 star standard if they replaced the beds with better quality and actual doubles, had more staff to serve drinks etc, modernised the showers in the rooms and improved the poor quality paint job that was in the bedrooms (ours anyway). The all inclusive finishes at 11pm. Aside from this, a good hotel which I would have scored as a very good 3 star- is only average at it's current 4 star rating.
“ Top Tip: The beach is great, very busy but plenty of space. Loads of shops and bars locally.

The hotel had everything we were looking for, from the clean spacious rooms, fab swimming pool, great food with plenty choice (puddings are amazing) to the staff who were all friendly and worked hard to entertain kids and adults. We would definitely return to this hotel again. Some reviews on TripAdvisor are very misleading with regards to this hotel but we personally couldn't find any faults.

“ Rooms were spacious and clean. Maid service daily. Restaurant was good quality considering the budget. Plenty of choice. Put on six pounds in a week so couldn't be that bad. All inclusive bar was always a queue. You get used to it but its frustrating at the time. Excellent entertainers team. The girls make an excellent effort to include all. Pool was clean but usual trait if not enough sun beds. Liked the hotels view of removing towels if beds not in use. Ten min walk from the beach. 15 mins from the theme park. Hotel is far enough from the town to be quiet by midnight. Good entertainent in hotel if you stay for the evening. We had a good time and would use med playa again.
“ Top Tip: Walk to the beach and turn left. There is a smaller beach around cliff about five mins away. Still busy but not like the monster beach in town.

“ entertainment good for adults to sit in a hall and listen to live stuff. Young children with parents have the chance during the day to join the kids club. not much for teenagers to do except wi-fi. kids room with pool table etc. is a bit behind the times. Staff are nice and I have every respect for them due to the amount of languages they have to master! Russians, Poles, British, Spanish, Italian guests to name but a few. the view onto bedsit apartments on two sides isn't great but pool area is smashing. fries served at the pool bar would help during the day. some rooms need a freshen up decor wise but its a nice hotel for the price range. would I visit again? Yes, but i'd go for a bigger family sized room.
“ Top Tip: a restaurant at the point on the left side of the main beach called Bamboo was lovely. The shop owners were not pushy on the covered shopping street. If you have a family build you holiday to Salou around Port Adventura. You could easily spend three days there. A lot of the newer hotels are longer than walking distance from the beach, though. you will need buses or taxis.
