When booking you are offered a standard room or superior room for the same price, chances are like me you go for the superior room. What you are not told is that it is in the annex, an unsupervised building behind the main hotel. The room itself was fine, however the building feels unsecured as anyone can press a buzzer and enter. Our room was on the ground floor, near the front door and next to the maids store room. The noise of people coming and going at night and in the morning was incredible, not to mention the maids accessing the store room early the next morning. I went to reception at 6.30 am to explain the noise and lack of sleep and requested a move to the main hotel. The hotel was full but after some insistence, they did move us later that day when a room became available. However we were asked to vacate our room by 12.00 pm, leaving us with no room for three hours, not the best way to customers. Overall the staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfast is very good. The hotel is a bit dated but it is very central and good value. They just need to be transparent about the annex when booking so you can make an informed decision.
Top Tip: There is a lovely small bar next to the annex with a friendly owner.

All the staff at this hotel have been amazing. There have also been improvements to facilities since the last time I visited. I do not go back to hotel unless I like it so that in itself tells you a lot about this well run and clean hotel. Its in the old part of Sitges which is very handy for the town centre, beaches and many of the bars and restaurants. Thank you to everyone at the Galeon for another wonderful time.
Top Tip: The hotel and the Pavillion are in quiet street very near to the train station and the old town where nearly all of the entertainment, bars and restaurants are located. A big thank you for travel republic for making the booking so easy.

Have stayed in the Galeon a few times before but only ever in the main building. On this occasion I took a 'superior' room in the Annexe. A nice discovery in the Annexe was the top floor roof terrace with sun beds and Jacuzzi. The room itself was very good. Comfortable bed, plenty of storage, great bathroom with a walk in shower. The shower itself was excellent with regards water pressure but on a couple of occasions I did experience a lack of hot water. (although that might be down to my not mastering the controls properly!). Breakfast was as good as I remembered with an impressive choice of hot or cold options. All hotel staff encountered (reception, cleaners, breakfast 'helpers') were as excellent as ever. All professional, friendly and helpful. Overall I would again return to the Galeon as its well located and in general provides superb value for money.
My only issue with the hotel and its a common problem in many, (although its perhaps not so much the hotels fault as it is a fault of inconsiderate other guests), is that bedroom doors appear to freely and easily slam, something some guests seem quite happy to let happen! I was disturbed quite a few times by this. Doors on a stronger 'slow close' type hinge would be very welcome.

The hotel was very user friendly with great staff especially at reception. The room, with balcony and ensuite, was excellent. The quality and variety at breakfast was amazing - and it went on until 12noon. Really enjoyed our stay!
