The hotel is aimed at mature people. The entertainment, the times, even the keep fit class. I am 48 and a young 48. I was disappointed. This is the second time i have visited the hotel. The first in November with my mum who is 73 the age of clientel suited her. However this time I returned in march with my partner to find the age group still mature. Infact a young group that arrived all inclusive whilst I was there were not treated with respect due to the fact they were young. And they received a lot of uncomfortable looks. And were told certain drinks were not available but then when somebody older went to request the same drink they were served it. They were doing nothing wrong just louder than the older people would have liked. My comment is this no problem with the hotel if it is aimed solely at mature but state that to people so they know in advance, Not fayre on younger people visiting. The rooms are basic and need work tho the hotel itself is clean and food and stafff lovely. It is also well situated to the beach, restaurants, entertainment. I believe the rooms are now being modernised starting from the top floors. Being such a large hotel i can imagine this taking a very long time. There is quite a big hill to climb if returning from the beach to the front of the hotel. However there is a gate where you can exit or enter the grounds and can miss this hill (tho the gate is very tempromental) and if you are short you need to stand on the wall to insert your card into the slot to open the gate. I would return because of the staff and its situation but I would only ever go bed and breakfast.
Top Tip: There are three bars opposite the front entrance to the hotel all are busy and work to same format i.e quiz karaoke and one hour cabaret each evening. Most were empty by 12.30. If you want later you need to go into las americas which is only 5 ten min walk.

Very good hotel.
Lots of restaurants and pubs in the local area.
One problem is the lifts are very slow even although there are 4 of them
Not enough parasols around the pool. People are still leaving towels out on the sun beds and not returning for hours.

we found the hotel to be very good for us,we went bed and breakfast of which suited our needs.we were a little disappointed on the types of rooms that was available with TR, because when we arrived there after a day or so we found that you could get much better rooms, but all in all we liked the hotel.
Top Tip: great bars and eating places nearby, good beach ,and walks along the waterfront,
