“ This is our 3rd visit to Villa Cortes and we once again found the hotel to be excellent! In fact we thought it had improved even from the last time we stayed. The staff are very friendly and efficient and nothing is too much trouble. The Hotel itself is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The only criticism we can make (and it is only a tiny niggle) was that there was only 1 English channel on the TV as they are having problems with the Astra satellite, they were however very apologetic. All in all our stay was most relaxing and enjoyable and we will definitely be staying again!!
“ Top Tip: The Gula restaurant in Santiago 4 was very stylish and friendly. Also El Cedro Restaurant just about 300m up the main road in Santiago 2 was very good value for money. Also the Buffet in Atlantico in Santiago 3 was superb

It is a very good hotel, an oasis of civilisation, in what is otherwise a beer and soccer Magaluf-style resort. The staff are very pleasant (fetching in their Mexican costumes) and the half board is good value, and varied. Champagne (Cava) freely served with copious breakfast!
The manager is much in evidence, and I think responsible for maintaining the high quality of service. Not many British guests - mostly middle-aged German and Norwegians, escaping the winter.
Lovely pool in an attractive garden. However, though on the sea, there is no beach - just an enclosed sea-water pool, dependent on the tide.
I would certainly go back.
Beware of 'Speedy Shuttle' transfers. The desk people at the airport were diffident and uncommunicative, and the '20 min' journey into Playa de las Americas took over an hour, due to many stop-offs. (I'd hate to take the less expensive Shuttle!)
The pick-up from hotel to airport was over half an hour late, and I had to take a taxi.
