  • We liked the hotel. Not suitable for young children we didn't have any young children with us. For us the hotel was perfect. The food was great, the room was clean. The only thing I would say is that the entertainment at night was more for the older generation!

    Robert from Kilmarnock

Strategically placed in the best part of Playa de las Américas, near the beaches, the best shopping and entertainment area and the golf course, Hotel Vulcano is internationally renowned for its excellent facilities (including the botanical garden), deliciously varied cuisine - and its friendly and highly professional staff.

In the luminous main restaurant, the Buffet and the Show Cooking Grill offer you a great variety of succulent specialities and the Palapa Pool Bar serves snacks and lunch à la carte. Apart from the luxuriant Botanical Lounge, there are two bars with a very pleasant atmosphere and in the evenings you can enjoy a show by international artists, have a drink, and dance the night away to disco and live music.

Excellent

Check-in date:

Very efficient, friendly and clean. The staff were helpful. The food was good; I am generally skeptical about buffets but the selection was good, with hot and cold offerings as well as a grill. It was not an exciting hotel but just what I wanted and needed for a quiet, relaxing break.

Very Good

my first stay at this hotel, very clean every day, in fact an army of cleaners done very good every day, i could only have 2 reconmendations, 1 no tea/coffee facilitys in the rooms (so if you wake at early in the morning you have to ring room services? however theres a 7euro charge plus whatever you wanted on top) and the tv went out of alignment via the sat dish which they never seemed to quick to fix, 4 days without english speaking tv, most of the guests i spoke to about this only needed the news from england) thats the only two points, we are looking at going back hopeing too this time next year 2015. Well done to all in the "Spring Hotel Vulcano" and no its not for screaming children, english or other!

Top Tip: the beach was 5minutes walk, pubs and entertainment bars 2 minutes walk and (not too close to this hotel) not that you needed to go out for entertainment as that was good in this hotel anyway.shopping centre for my wife was 5 minutes walk, again not too close to be a inderance to this hotel.
All round fantastic hols,

Check-in date:

Hotel was comfortable and clean, but like most of the hotels in this area, now starting to need some updating. However, seemed almost full and though clientele was mainly older, there was a lively buzzy atmosphere for the shows and dancing etc. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was plentiful but average, not enough local cuisine for us. Very central for shops and nightlife. Only bugbear was that old chestnut - people being allowed to reserve sunbeds with their bloomin towels, though it was clearly stated as not being hotel policy.

Top Tip: If the show at your hotel is not to your liking - try visiting the other hotels in the area, Their show may be more to your liking (you might not be able to buy a drink at some - but they wont throw you out). Its a good way of checking out the other accommodation available.

Pool area 'dated' and needs modenising, pool attendents very intolerant of children playing and splashing - very quiet hotel probably notsuitable for families with young children
