i was given a room 306 which was very cold and no hot water. I have spoken to the receptions at the time "short slim lazy looking" guy who wasnt helpfull at all. he told me that 1st and 2nd floor rooms are reverbishment now and no other room was available. i had slept in the cold that first night and next morning i went to reception and seen another receptionist which was just trying to get rid of me but luckily the manager was around all of a sudden and to my complaints was met i was given a room 202 which which had everything working correctly. only one problem my clothes where in the closet to find them smell of cigerat i dont evan smoke and thgerate smoke on all floors coming from first floor bar where many people smoke. doors have no smoke protection..

some of people in the reception are ok. btw but in Tunisia as a general i didnt expect good service
Top Tip: i love the sea view from hotel

The hotel was situated across the road from the beautiful Boujafaar beach. In its central location it gives easy access to The Medina by foot as well as being centrally located for taxis, minibuses, coaches, the tram and the train, allowing further exploration of the neighbouring towns and cities. Although our room was somewhat dated and in need of modernisation ( a t.v would have been nice ) it comprised of a very limited kitchenette ie 2 electric rings, a fridge and a sink, a table and chairs, a dressing table, 2 bedside tables, a wardrobe and a double bed. Towels and bedding were changed frequently and the room was cleaned and tidied by staff. Ample blankets were provided. The hotel water and the central heating was hit and miss although both worked more than not. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, the catering was of moderate standard consisting usually of a starter, main course and dessert - this could be eaten in the basic dining room on the first floor located right next to the bar or taken to your room. Breakfast of bread, croissant and coffee, was served in the adjoining coffee shop. Over all this apart hotel is good valve for money however with a little modernisation, t.v.s & internet in the rooms- it would be excellent .
Top Tip: Taxis very cheap. Yellow or white minibuses even cheaper but you share with others. Train and trams worth using for day trips to Monastir, Tunis, Carthage and many more. Many cafés have free internet for customers and The Medina is a great place to walk around and barter the price for your holiday souvenirs - leather goods are particularly great valve for money.

The hotel facilities are limited, don;t expect to do full self-catering. But it's in a busy location, directly opposite the beach, close to restaurants and shops, which are really handy, although can be noisy at night. And while some may be disappointed with the quality of the kitchenette facilities and shower room, the staff are extremely helpful and I consider it good value for money..

Hotel was pretty good for the price. The facilities are old but reasonably clean. The cleaners come in daily and keep the beds clean. There were no pans, enough crockery or cutlery for 2 people but this was rectified when we asked the concierge to supply us with them.
Top Tip: It was close to the local and national train stations.
