First question, how on earth is this classed as a five star hotel?
9 of us arrived at the Green Nature resort (2 families) and were taken to our rooms. The part of the hotel we were supposed to be staying in had a power cut so after 20 minutes we were put Into another annex of the hotel. The room was average to say the least. Anyway not that fussed as we were excited to be there and let the fun begin. We dumped our bags and headed up to dinner which was very basic but ok. Had good fun that night with kids entertainment and bingo.
Next day we woke up to our bathroom stinking of a sewage smell. This was obviously a known problem as it was an option to tick on the complaints form. My wife informed reception and someone appeared to have cleared the problem later on that day.
The main restaurant was chaos this day and every other to follow (not sure if more people had arrived or not).
It was like a scene from a comedy/horror film. People fighting over chips as that appeared to be the only thing that most kids liked. Queues of people for uncooked pancakes....wild...and the food was very average and that's being kind.
Another nice touch was right outside the main restaurant they advertised some nice pizza etc In the upstairs terrace that the kids seen before they entered the school canteen....obviously this was what the kids wanted as you couldn't get a normal pizza in the all inclusive canteen as they were all spicy.
..downside was that the terrace restaurant was not part of all inclusive....this was also the only place that showed the football so if you wanted to watch the footie then u had to pay for your booze. Another nice feature of the terrace restaurant was that they offered an English breakfast, once again not part of all inclusive.... Or you could have used the canteen for some horrible scrambled eggs and chips.
The indoor pool was Baltic but free (sarcasm time)
As was the sauna, after that u were paying...I.e. Steam room etc.
Moving on, back to the room on the third night and we walked in only to be greeted to the stench from hell, the whole room smelled like sewage. My wife went up to reception only to be told there was nothing they could do and they would see what they could do in the morning when the manager would be there at 9 o'clock.
Luckily her sisters family was with us and we all clambered in the one room that night (9 of us)
Next day my wife went up to reception and the manager wasn't there but was told to pack the bags just in case.
She came back and we quickly packed as we were going on a boat trip, back up to reception and manager still wasn't there, went on trip and came back that night.
Manager still not there but I remained calm and went back an hour later, the lad on the desk offered me a room (1 room with double bed and bunks) in the main hotel (5 star apparently) and I accepted it, no other choice as our other room still reaked off sewage.
Glad we were of the room change but annoyed because we booked the holiday with rooms beside each other and now we were in separate hotels.
Enough on the hotel now, pretty simple really, would not return.
Turkey in the other hand was really nice, not sure if we'd return to Marmaris but loved our daily trips and we had such a laugh as a family. Had it not been for the fact we were there with my wife's family and we all had a ball together (even though the hotel was garbage) then it would have been a change of hotel or an early flight home.

“ Went first week in April, hotel was very nice, especially on the fourth floor of the main building where you have a nice view down towards the sea. All the staff were very pleasant and the entertainment team were exceptional and a really great laugh. Only slight downside for me was the quality of the food which seemed like your typical all inclusive meals, quite greasy and similar, although the outdoor cooking was nice as were the salads. Hotel in a great location, set back far enough from the beach to avoid noise of the restaurants but close enough for a quick walk down to the beach or said restaurants.
“ Top Tip: Think there was a restaurant called aliba or something, not 5 minutes walk from the hotel, very nice meal for a very reasonable price

“ Just back after spending a week there. Group of four (2 adults and 2 kids aged 11 and 5) More like 3 star, not 4 star, but good value for money. Food was good with options and variety for everybody, including kids. Of course, you have to keep in mind that myself and my family went there with a view to try local food and were not looking for full English or chips all the time. Pool was clean and the waterslides were a great hit with kids and adults alike. Entertainment team are a hoot as long as you are prepared to join in the games and silly poolside dances!! We all had a relaxing time. Would go there again. Rooms are dated and could do with a refurbishment, but to be honest we were hardly in the room.
“ Top Tip: The Boat Trip is worth going on.
