“ We were welcomed warmly by the team at the guest house. Beds were comfy and breakfast tasty. We also had an evening meal there which was also very lovely. The only criticsm was that the ale was very cold and would have been much nicer at room temperature.7.5 Very Good

“ Top Tip: The White Horse has great real ale. The Thai cottage was amazing.

“ A very warm welcome from the begining with courteous & friendly staff. The evening meal & breakfast were great & the room clean with many olde-worlde features. We spent our wedding night there & both of us were very pleased with our choice of guest house. We will be staying there again & are looking forward to it. Wonderful!
“ Top Tip: A marvelous old building with parts dating back over 600 years

Would not stay there again as a single person. Single room very small, not able to get into the en-suite without moving the bed as door too close. Not able to leave the window open as room on very busy main road. Being an older property no sound proofing so it was very noisy especially when people entered the establishment later at night, door on keypad and always shut very noisely. Not very happy at not being able to check-in before 4pm, most Hotels you can check-in @ 2pm.
plus point was the cooked breakfast very nice but once again the breakfast times were early 8-9am which certainly didn't allow for a lie in, the first morning I had to sit at a previously used table and none of the dirty crockery was removed which was not very pleasent.
I would not return
