It is ok for a night or so, the bar is quite noisy, but
Its right in the centre so if you are looking for a close-by option this will do for a sleep-over. :-)
The rooms are nothing fancy.

Top Tip: Battle is right there next to it.

The food at the Hotel was first class. Unfortunately the weather was so bad it poured with rain and with Gale force wind we left 2 days early as rather be wet in the comfort of our own home than stuck in an Hotel room with only one chair to sit on.

The Shower unit was ancient and was unwholesome as there was lots of black grime verdigree on the the edges of the glass both inside and out. This badly need replacing in room number 6. Other problem was that the stairs to the upper bedrooms were very steep and at 80 + we found it difficult struggling up them to get to our bedroom.

The Hotel did no have a car park and we had to use the Battle Abbey car park at £3.50 a night and this some distance from Hotel with a slope up and cobb led walkway so struggling with a case no joke. So all in all not a happy stay, but repeat the food was terrific and staff friendly in the Bar and Restaurant

Top Tip: We went down to Hastings and in the Fishing Dock area we found a Fish Restaurant called The Mermaid where we had superb local trawler caught fresh fish, simply wonderful.
