The only problem we had was finding the hotel,Upton St Leonards is not signposted from the motorway and negotiating the busy roads through Gloucester is difficult if you are not familiar with them. The hotel would benefit from putting up signs we only encountered one 500 yards from the hotel after stopping to ask directions. The hotel website should contain directions of how to find it.

We were breaking our journey so only one night there.
It was really very pleasant, and the staff we encountered were pleasant, polite and helpful.
We were definitely glad of our sat-nav - even though it did take a long-winded route!
The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped.
There was a varied menu in the restaurant, which which was light and airy and the views were lovely. The food was beautifully presented.
One night stop only.
It was on hills with a commanding view of the town below.
I imagine there would have been pleasant walks in the hotel grounds which were open to guests.
