Our customer reviews
Keith from Alford
Proprietor very welcoming. Room spotlessly clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Fabulous value for money.
However, Travel Republic were poor. They sent the wrong address on the e mail print out. No post code, no telephone number, the wrong village, they even got the wrong county! the pub is in Oxfordshire not Buckinghamshire as stated on the print out.

“ Friendly staff and service was very good. Hotel was very clean and comfortable.
“ Top Tip: Good position for visiting Waddeston Manor, a little further to Blenheim and Oxford but as driving not an issue.
Vanessa from Halifax

“ Lovely old inn in a village in the Chilterns; beautiful scenery, peaceful and quiet location. The room was comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food - especially the breakfast - was very tasty. Even though we stayed for just one night we felt we had had a relaxing weekend away.
“ Top Tip: This area of England is very beautiful and within easy reach of many interesting places. A couple of miles from the Peacock Inn is the Chinnor Steam Railway - look up their timetable and perhaps enjoy a rail trip with a cream tea!
