A nice surprise. The room was to a very high standard - very good value for money.

We only met John, the owner who couldn't do enough for us, and the breakfast was again very high standard and well cooked.

Will use this hotel again if in the area, and have already recommended it to friends.
Top Tip: Go to Ironbridge and Bridgenorth for the funicular.

Manager very friendly and welcoming and accommodating. The room was freezing when we arrived but we soon had an oil heater plugged in to make it warmer. I wouldn't give the hotel more than 3 star rating as despite the good food, it could do with a little bit of refurbishment, especially the bathroom. However, the dinner provided at the party we attended there was very good and tasty and plenty of it. Liquor prices were not too expensive either.
Top Tip: Went to The Fox nearby which highly recommended. It's within walking distance. However my steak was a tad tough though my partners was very tender. Service was a bit hit and miss though.

Excellent hotel. Comfortable room with ensuite. Breakfast superb. Just off the main road so very quiet. The owner & staff helpful & friendly. We will stay there again & recommend it to anyone.
Top Tip: Pubs close to in Newport which is a really nice country town. Close to motorway so very convenient for an overnight stay.

The room I stayed in was quite small but very workable and stylish. They had made good use of the space available. The bathroom had a little step leading up to the bath which was of no significance to me,but my grandad spotted it and thought it would make getting in and out of the bath easier for someone of his age. The room was very clean and had tea&coffee making facilities and a tv. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and although I did not indulge in the full cooked breakfast, the bacon butty was very tasty! There were fresh lilies on all the breakfast tables and the staff were very quick to refill my coffee which were nice touches.
