The Royal Hotel is a family run public house in the village of Dungworth. Set on the edge of the Peak District high on the moors northwest of Sheffield but only a 20-minute drive from the centre of the city and Meadow Hall shopping centre. Its location makes it the ideal place for people visiting the area or for those that want to stay longer but not wanting to stay in the hustle bustle of a city. Those of you wanting to come to the area on Business it is Affordable luxury with the added bonus of a real ale pub on the doorstep what more do you want. Now with Free WiFi. The Royal Hotel was built around 1813 and retains much of its original character. Split into 3 areas. There is the snug which over looks the beautiful countryside and has views over Sheffield and on a good day you can see far and beyond. The lounge at the front of the pub which is spacious. The Family room also at the front of the pub is a separate room ideal with toys and games are also provided. Come and relax in the comfortable surroundings have a quality drink with friends and enjoy the quality home made food which is cooked by David and Joanne. Try one of the many home made pies known the world over. The Accomodation is located at the rear of the property within the carpark area. 3 chalets in their own annex over looking the wonderful countryside. All ground floor. Each room has ensuite shower room with Body shop products. Centrally heated and double glazed Remote Control Television Hairdryer Iron with Ironing board and TeaCoffee making facilities free WiFi. Available on request Trouser Press Early morning call Fresh Milk. The next morning wake up to a Royal English Breakfast fit for a King or Queen. On arrival select from a range of items then hand the form in at the bar. If you can't decide before hand no problem. We do try and source our food as locally as possible. Meat eggs milk Honey and Jams are all from around the Dungworth Area. Orange juice CerealsPorridgeKippers Bacon Sausage Egg Hash Browns Mushrooms Tomatoes Beans Fried Bread and Bread and ButterToast Jam and HoneyTea and Coffee There are plenty of attractions locally walking from novice to experienced hikersramblers for the more energetic fishing from flay fishing at Ladybower Reservoir a 15 minute drive away and course fishing at Dam Flask on the doorstep. Also close by is clay pigeon shooting golfing and horse riding (all by arrangement). If you are more into relaxing with a drink then come along and just enjoy the views. During the summer there is the local cricket team at Low Bradfield or visit the historic Bradfield Church at High Bradfield.

We had a really great stay we were made very welcome and the chalet was very clean and comfortable the breakfast was great could not fault a thing we will be returning soon.
Top Tip: Damflask was lovely took long walk round in lovely sunshine. Went to see The Sheffield Sharks play in their last match of the season really good game.
