The hotel seemed lovely but some of the rooms were stifling hot with the night staff a little unresponsive - unable to open the windows more than 4 inches which meant my granddaughter was bathed in sweat all night. Our room up in the attic was small but lovely and being on the corner meant we could get a bit of air in there which was just as well as my husband is asthmatic.
Breakfast was lovely. Also had a very nice facial in the spa.
Top Tip: no time - we had a family crisis to sort out first (Gloucester Hospital was fantastic).

Hotel was very well presented. Rooms were clean and spacious. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good and the waiting staff were extremely polite and attentive. Buffet breakfast was also very good with a wide choice and constantly being replenished. Reception staff seemed a bit disorganised especially at check out and struggled to deal with numerous people checking out at 11am. We had to wait for about half an hour to be served. Hotel bar was under staffed with only one person working the bar who seemed to struggle with everyone who wanted drinks. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the hotel. Grounds were well presented also.

The rooms are a little tired. Bathroom was surface clean but would benefit from steam clean.

Nice view from bedrooms.
Very welcoming staff.

If you want suggestions for food, although food was good, you could offer fresh fruit instead of tinned. Eggs were usually hard. Overall good selection.

The hotel was good value for money. We had a good meal in the restaurant and the whole experience was reasonably efficient.
The only issue we had was the bill in the restaurant had 2 errors on it but this was corrected without any issues.
