A magnificent five-star London hotel near Westminster offering supreme luxury and panoramic views over the River Thames and the London Eye, The Royal Horseguards is a true London icon, crowned AA London Hotel of the Year in 2010-11.

Completely refurbished to its full Victorian splendour, with original tiled floors, high ceilings and chandeliers, The Royal Horseguards combines an extraordinary heritage – it was the HQ of the Secret Service during the First World War - with all the five-star comforts of the 21st century.

With exclusive Bars & Restaurants near Charing Cross & Trafalgar Square, our 2 Rosettes Award-winning One Twenty One Two restaurant recreates the intimacy and intrigue of the hotel’s secret history and aristocratic connections, whilst the elegant lounge serves our infamous traditional Afternoon Teas. Fancy something a little stronger? Try one of our lavish cocktails in Equus Bar.

The hotel offers a complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access.

The fire alarm went off twice during the night 1am and 3.45 am - no explanations given by management and did not go out of their way to apologise for inconvenience for the false alarm. The fire exit at street level was not clear and there were no members of staff to be seen at fire exits. They were all already outside!

All well presented, as you'd expect from a good hotel in central London, in a great location on Thames embankment. On a one night stay, the room was small but comfortable and again well presented. What was nowhere near 5 star was noisy ineffective aircon/heating, and only single glazing, so it was difficult to sleep much in a room near a train station, finishing with a 6am wake-up call of dustbins full of bottles being tipped into collection trucks. Staff where very apologetic, offering upgrades for next time and recommending "ask for a quiet room" !! I doubt I'll see a next time there.

Top end restaurant will cater for all your needs. Ideally located for a multitude of attractions and of course shopping. Only down side no parking but parking a short walk away.
