Quieter Fenals, to the west, boasts crystal-clean teal waters and honey-coloured sand. The remaining tower of Sant Joan Castle overlooks the beach and is worth the climb at sunset. The wider neighbourhood has a low-key vibe, with plenty of cool bars for a post-beach pit stop.

Further west again, the dreamy Gardens of Santa Clotilde are a must-visit. Pines, cypresses, and lichen-clad statues line the pretty paths of this clifftop park, which offers jaw-dropping views of the sparkling Med.
