Swing by the African style savanna with a stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Much like the name suggests, this Disney Resort hotel is located in the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort Area and is close to the park and ESPN Wide World of Sports.

Between your time at the parks, why not take it easy and enjoy the heaps of fun and games on offer at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Admire the beautiful savanna and Go Wild About Painting where ‘everything the light touches’ is yours to paint while sipping on a cool complimentary drink. Overlooking the flamingo area, there’s the Hakuna Matata Playground, fit for little cubs looking to run wild on the swings, slides and more. For a quick break from the sun, Pumbaa’s Fun and Games Arcade is roaring with classic arcade video games and a buzzing atmosphere. Keep cool throughout the day by the watering hole style Uzima Springs Pool. Feel like you’re in a tropical oasis as large canopy trees and Floridian palms shade you while you swan in the gentle, zero-depth entry. Also fringed with palms and canopy trees is the serene Samawati Springs Pool, where you can also transport yourself to the feeling of dipping your toes into the shallow waters of a tropical beach. Kids of all ages can run free at the Uwanja Camp. Consisting of three water playgrounds, including gently bubbling geysers, a leaky water tower and water cannons, there’s a zone suited for each age-group! As the evening comes to a draw, there’s no doubt you CAN feel the love as you gather ‘round the roaring Jambo House Campfire for enchanting stories, games, and toasted marshmallow treats. When it comes to rustling up some grub, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge go far beyond Timon and Pumbaa’s slimy yet satisfying menu -phew! Mix things up with a fusion of African, Indian and Mediterranean cuisine at Jiko—The Cooking Place where you’ll be sure to please everyone’s palettes as chefs put on a show, making appetizers at the open kitchen. On Wednesdays, this African Sunset-themed restaurant invites you on a tour of South African flavours with Jiko Wine Tasting. After a private Wanyama Safari visiting the exotic wildlife, tuck into a feast of African-inspired fare at Jiko – The Cooking Place too! For an all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast/dinner buffet, sample the selection of African specials and American favourites, served-up under the thatched roof of Boma restaurant. Named after a river flowing through Kenya and Tanzania, The Mara is a perfect place to flow through and pick up grab n' go bites. Why not savour every spoonful with a view of roaming wildlife on the savanna at Sanaa? Start your day with a buffet breakfast or join an Animal Specialist for an insightful, 4-course lunch. As the sun sets, tuck-in to a slow-cooked meal of African cooking with Indian flavours, paired with wine from South Africa, beer from Kenya or even a Malawi Mango Margarita! There’s even the Sanaa Lounge where unique African wines, drinks, snacks, and a beautiful view await. Sprinkled around the savanna hotel, you’ll find thirst quenching havens like the two lounge bars; Maji pool bar and Uzima Springs pool bar – all providing a range of drinks with some including snacks and quick bites between meals.
