Hotel Overview
Arriba! Maracas at the ready, you’re about to experience a medley of Mexican and American Southwest culture with a stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Rooted in the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort Area, this Disney Resort hotel is close to Arabian Nights Dinner Show and Disney's Hollywood Studios®. ESPN Wide World of Sports and Disney's Boardwalk are also in nice reach too.
Follow in the footsteps of Spanish adventurer, Don Francisco de Coronado, and explore the beauty of ancient Mexico in this stunning hotel, organised into regions of Mexico and the American Southwest. Roll up to this lakeside oasis and prepare to be blown away by the grand entrance, adorned with 3 archways and a signature, ribbon-patterned design. For even more of a wow factor, check out this hotel’s façade at night when the dramatic lighting enhances the architecture and reflects of the nearby lake – simply magnifico! The theme continues into the 2-story lobby where you’ll find a flutter of Moorish hanging lanterns, subtly glowing against a backdrop of full-height bronze screens, inspired by Spanish tile patterns. Accents of Ancient Mexico can be found throughout the resort, from the tropical pool which hosts a 5-story Mayan pyramid waterfall to the Nuevo Latino cuisine and even the pretty, pastel casitas bedroom blocks! Complete with Disney touches and a contrast of modern comforts, you’re in for a full-on fiesta.

After a thrilling day out in the parks, retreat to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort where you’ll find “mucho” activities to get stuck into! Head down to the Dig Site where Mayan ruins build up a pool complex, perfect for amateur archaeologists looking to uncover some watery fun. Venture to the Lost City of Cibola pool where a 50-foot pyramid takes centre stage. Eager climbers can take a break on the stone steps as water streams down while thrill seekers can take a trip down the 123-foot-long waterslide - watch out for the water spitting Jaguar spirit animal on the way! Little ones can make a splash at the kiddie pool while you simmer down in the huge hot tub. With room for 22 tribesmen, this bubbling hot pot is the largest in Walt Disney World Resort! Swimming’s not the only thing on the itinerary in the Dig Site; here you can spike a volleyball on the white-sand court, sip on drinks at the Siesta’s pool bar, get your game face on at the Iguana Arcade or enjoy the selection of seasonal poolside activities. Stumble upon the 3 heated pools in the Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas areas and take a quick dip or poolside siesta after lunch! Little explorers can get stuck into the archaeologically themed playground where they’ll discover swings and climbing things. Spend your Sunday taking part in The Running of Coronado Fun Run – don’t worry, you can warm up on the Jogging Trail beforehand while taking in the 22-acre Lago Dorado views! Try something new with a master-led painting class, a spot of yoga or fitness blast with the La Vida Health Club or go all out with a new hairdo at the Casa de Belleza Hair Salon! As the evening winds down, huddle up by the Coronado Springs Campfire for old-fashioned fun and marshmallows toasted over a crackling fire. Don’t forget to grab your amigos and swing by the outdoor screening of Disney movies under the stars near the Lost City of Cibola pool.
