LOCAL AREA AND THINGS TO DO

There’s a wide range of things to do for visitors of all ages in Marmaris and Icmeler. Make the most of the scenic coastline and take a boat trip from either resort or take the water taxi across to the quieter resort of Turunc or the coves of Amos Bay and Kumlubuk. If you want to travel further afield, a regular ferry departs from Marmaris to the Greek island of Rhodes.

Turkey is renowned for its shopping opportunities, and haggling is a must. Head to either Icmeler or Marmaris markets (held weekly) for local leather goods, Turkish tea, carpets and handicrafts or get the local bus to Marmaris bazaar for clothing, leather and jewellery items.
