Holidays to Lluchmajor
This inland town in the south west is perfectly located for access to the bright lights and nightlife of Palma, as well as being close to some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. It’s quiet and typically Majorcan and not especially geared towards tourists, so those looking for an authentic experience will like it here. Spend your evenings hopping from one traditional tapas bar to the next, just as the locals do.
Playa de Palma
About 10km east of Palma and 14km away from Lluchmajor, this is one of the island’s main resorts.
Based about 25km south of Lluchmajor, the narrow inlet of Cala Pi gets its name from the pines that surround it.
This Gothic castle was built in the 14th century and is now one of Majorca's main attractions.
Museum of Spanish Contemporary Art
Housed in a 17th century mansion, this museum houses work by 20th century artists including Picasso, Dali and Miro.
With everything from bustling markets to designer shops, Majorca is perfect for a little retail therapy.
If you want to get around in Majorca, why not hire a bike? It's a great way to see the island.
This is a local version of the national dish, paella, only here it’s made with noodles instead of rice.
All in one fry
A kind of hash, with meat, offal, tomatoes and onions fried in garlic and oil, frito Mallorquin is great for breakfast.
The best place to head is Palma, about 20km away – try Tito’s, New Victoria and the New Millennium and Pacha.
A couple of kilometres out of town, this restaurant is in the grounds of the Son Julia Boutique Hotel.
