Hotels in Stalis

The village of Stalis is a busy and welcoming tourist resort on the island of Crete. It favours daytime activity over nightlife, with a small number of bars compared to the many local restaurants and cafes. Some hotels near the beach have private stretches of sand, and on the public beaches bars will offer you drinks and snacks with your sun-lounger. Stalis is known as a popular destination for families, and tourists from a number of European countries, including Germany and Italy, come here too. It's easy to make day trips to regional attractions such as Dinosauria Park and Aqualand. The village's leather and jewellery shops are great places to pick up souvenirs, too. Crete is the largest of the Greek islands, and you can see some of the island's history in Stalis. It used to be a sleepy fishing community and has seen a huge boom in popularity since tourists first started arriving in Crete in the 1970s.
