We have just returned from a special holiday in N.Y. for our 30th anniversary. We stayed in the Belvedere and have no complaints at all! We had a fantastic stay in this attractive art deco style hotel built in the 30's. The staff couldn't have been better and the service was brilliant. We emailed in advance to say it was a special holiday and the staff put us on the top floor so we could have the best views possible. Everywhere was spotless and we really appreciated the little mini kitchen in the room which we took advantage of as food and drink prices are very high in NY. We were supplied with fresh coffee/tea/creamer for the coffee machine each day. We didn't try the restaurant but had breakfast a couple of times in their breakfast room which was good value @ 10 dollars for continental breakfast. The extra resort fee of 30 dollars per room/day for gym,Wi-Fi ,etc. paid on checkout was annoying but quite usual for NY hotels and no reflection on The Belvedere, and we were aware it had to be paid when we booked. The hotel was literally 2 mins walk from Times square and perfectly central for evertything. Lori the Concierge was really helpful and we saved a bit of money on tickets because of her advice. We had night flights home but were able to leave our luggage free of charge at the hotel after checkout so we could make the most of our last day. We also enjoyed the free wine happy hour each day which was a welcome surprise being as wine prices in the bars were horribly high everywhere compared to home. The only small gripes might be that the hotel doesnt have a coffee shop but there are so many places nearby it didn't really matter, and the lifts are rather slow. Neither are enough to prevent us recommending this hotel and we definitely would return.

Beautiful 1920s art deco building with a lovely team running it. Wonderful comfy beds and great bathroom with fab showers.
