First class hotel, excellent views, staff very friendly and helpful. Bit of a climb to the private beach and to the local bar and bus stop was the only slight downside if you are not very mobile. This hotel is ideal for couples who would like a nice relaxing romantic break, close enough to explore Pompei, Versuvius, Capri and the Amalfi coast. Would put this hotel in my top three.

nice hotel, lovely peaceful setting, friendly staff, breakfast average continental style. private stony beach good for swimming (rough path and steps), beach well maintained with sunbeds and towels and kept clean by attendant very steep long hill up to the main road with a rough bumpy surface, road has no footpath. 10 mins including walk along very busy road (200m) with no footpath to bus stop, (if buses not on strike), coach tours pickup, restaurant (kalimera: good food, basic decor and mini-market (sells bus tickets etc very helpful)and American Bar Coffee shop. No food served in the Hotel other than breakfast. Lovely place to stay surrounded by lemon trees but be sure you are aware of the little drawbacks You can also walk to Sorrento (1500m+) with no footpath for about 800m but this is not for the nervous or faint hearted. Bring reflective flashing arm bands if you intend doing this walk at night. Narrow road with lots of traffic and no space allocated for pedestrians. Shuttle bus can be booked to bring you from hotel into Sorrento (10.30am and 5.30pm) but no return trip. taxis are allegedly 25/30 euro per journey Best for people with a car
