Holidays to Vrsar
Vrsar is a small fishing village located on the west coast of Croatia. It has a wonderful, tranquil feel, stunning views and offers opportunities to explore the beautiful island archipelago nearby. The history of the settlement dates back to before Roman times and there are many historical and archaeological sites to explore in the area. There are some fantastic boat trips from the town and it is even possible to go on a day excursion to Venice.
The pebble beach at Belvedere is only a few minutes walk from the town of Vrsar and is great for sunbathing.
Petalon beach is paved and rocky so is less suited for sunbathing but it has a wide range of watersports activities.

Artist Dušan Džamonja's Park of Sculptures, which sits just outside of Vrsar, provides stunning views of the sea.
Basilica of St. Mary of the Sea
The original church of St Mary was built in the Vrsar harbour in the late 8th Century and it was renovated in 1969.
Vrsar and the surrounding countryside offers some splendid bike rides, suitable for families or more serious riders.
